Trustees

Quaggy Development Trust is a registered charity (No. 1109711) and a Company Limited by Guarantee (No. 04749158). It is governed by a Board of Trustees who are responsible for setting the strategic direction of the Trust and ensuring that the charitable objectives of the organisation are fulfilled to the benefit of the people on the Coldbath & Orchard and Heathside & Lethbridge Estates and surrounding areas.

Sue McKee

Chair

I was a local resident for over 30 years, but although I have recently moved out of the area, I still retain strong links and commitment to the Quaggy community. My 3 children all attended Morden Mount Primary School. I was originally a board member of the Orchard Community Project which was an initiative of St. John's Church with Holy Trinity. After many years of struggling for funding we began to grow in size and reputation and the decision was made to apply for trust and charitable status. OCP was renamed Quaggy Development Trust and I was elected Chair of Trustees. It has been wonderful to have been part of this community project for so many years and to have seen the birth of the Children's Centre, nurseries, the many initiatives, as well as the work undertaken to improve community life on the estates and in Greenwich West.

Naomi Delap

Trustee

I became involved in QDT through my kids - all three of whom have been looked after at the brilliant nursery. As I found out more about the range of amazing work QDT delivers to the local community, I was inspired to try to become more involved and eventually became a trustee. I run a film production company - Inside Job Productions - a social enterprise working with clients across the voluntary and public sectors.  We do a lot of work with young people and in the criminal justice sector (and sometimes both!) and run a training scheme for serving prisoners.

Simon Riley

Trustee

I am Chair of the Heathside & Lethbridge Youth Project, a registered charity which manages the Wash House Youth Club. Prior to taking on the role of Chair I was Treasurer for six years. We work in close partnership with other service providers on both the Heathside & Lethbridge and Orchard & Coldbath estates  I recently became a trustee of QDT to help strengthen the links between our two organisations as we are looking to enhance the scope of youth provision in and around the estates. I have lived locally for the last 11 years and attend the Church of the Ascension Blackheath, which has a long standing involvement in outreach work on the estates.

Kathryn Klaentschi

Trustee

I have lived in the local area for the last 20 years.I first became involved with QDT when I recieved the most amazing support from the breastfeeding clinic the morning after I returned home from hospital with my 5 day old premature baby. From there on out I became aware of their other programmes and also of the outsanding nursery. Both my children have attended the nursery with the youngest one due to graduate in 2017. As I learnt more about the charity and its aims I wanted to get more invovled and took the opportunity to become a trustee. I work in financial services specialising in data management. In the work environment I have chaired a women's network supporting women attain their career aspirations and I regularly participate in schools programmes to enable local children to understand the many opportunities available in the tall towers that dominate  our skyline.

Natalie Meguerditchian

Trustee

I have lived in the local area for five years and have been an active user of QDT services throughout that time. I was introduced to QDT when I gave birth to my first child via their health visitor services, excellent breast feeding clinic and various baby classes. Both my children have attended the nursery and my whole family enjoy taking part in the many events that they run. What I love most about QDT is its sense of community. It makes everyone who walks through its door feel welcome and brings people from all walks of life together through the many social activities it organises. My background was working in the financial services industry but I have stepped away from that and currently run a small cake decorating business from home.
