Our annual Carnival is held on the first Saturday in July. Come along on the 6th July with your family to enjoy the activities.
Entrance to the Carnival is free. You can purchase tokens for activities and food.
All members of our community and beyond are welcome to join us. We also welcome those who would like to perform on the stage or hire a stall.
A great day is had by all with a fantastic carnival procession with artists and members of the community dressing up and celebrating the local community.
Quaggy Carnival 6 July
Take part in the Incredible Journey Carnival Parade this Saturday 6 July
11.30 arrive at Quaggy Children’s Centre Drop In to dress up in hats and T shirts, with decorated umbrellas, small bird and fish puppets on sticks and T shirts.
12.10 Line up on Orchard Hill to greet the Carnival Queen and King and the Carnival Band (Morden Mount School and Quaggy Youth Club children)
12.20 the Carnival Parade moves off across to the Coldbath estate to make sure everyone sees and hears us.
The route then follows Coldbath Street. Connington Road, Morden Hill and Lewisham Road
We will be accompanied by staff, the artists, 6 local police from the Safer Neighbourhoods team and three trained traffic security stewards
1.00 Arrive back at the Carnival stage on the green for the Carnival finale. Meet the Queen Fish and the King Bird. Dance to the carnival band.
Carnival fun from 1pm to 5pm
Enjoy the annual Carnival outside Quaggy Children’s centre and Morden Mount School.
Free entertainment. cash only for BBQ, cakes, ice cream and drink, books, jewellery and baby accessories stalls.
Get your tokens (£1 each) cash or card and spend them at the many attractions on site including.
Tombolas. Face painting, Bungee and trampoline, Bumper Carz, Massage and Reflexology, Arts and crafts and much more.
